Skellegra - Creature Design

Part of my personal projects, this is the Skellegra - a creature based upon hyena/greyhound and horse!

These creatures live within the vast plains of a warm continent. The habitat is flush of pockets of lush flowers and twisted trees, and subject to draught and monsoon depending on the time of year.
They live in family packs, in a matriarchal society, ruled by an Alpha couple. (The female is the highest power, the male is respected, but does not carry the same status)

They are carnivorous and built for endurance hunting. They always kill their prey before they devour them, and make sure all members in the pack are fed. Pups are looked after by various females within the pack - duties are passed around equally so all can learn and help to flourish into the best they can be.
